Original Abstract

This article deals with an embedded system for adjusting of the rolls position in the pilger mill during its rebuilding. Short introduction into the area of rolling-mills is followed by a detailed description of the pilger rolls and their correct placing inside the mill during the rebuilding period. Then the developed measuring device is described as well as a measuring system evaluating measured data in real-time cooperation with communication system and formal design of the communication protocol.
