Original Abstract

CoAP - a light-weight application protocol for IoT environment is analyzed in this report. The basic principles of the protocol are presented, the structure of the protocol is described, and the meaning of transactions is provided. Also, proposed extensions are briefly summarized. The goal of the report is to identify the core information for designing and implementing CoAP analyzer with potential applications in security monitoring and IoT forensics domains.
