Original Abstract

Nowadays there is a problem with anchoring of photocatalytic layers, which would not have to be cured at high temperatures. Therefore, a support binder is added to the photocatalyst itself. This work deals with the preparation of polysiloxane binders to serve as a support for anchoring photocatalytically activ layers containg titanium dioxide. The primary aim of this study is to compare the properties of several polysiloxanes, differing in composition and method of preparation. Binders containg organic resideus as methyl, propyl and phenyl.Subsequently, the incorporation of binders into TiO2/polysiloxane compositions with the photocatalytically active layers will be prepared and the methods of a polysiloxane mineralization in such layers up to SiO2 will be investigated. The mineralization will be performed by uv radiation, plasma and thermal treatment. FT-IR and thermal analysis will monitor the polysiloxane mineralization.
