Original Abstract

In the latest research the new results were always achieved with correlative approach of sample investigation. The newest methods for mathematical characterization of image registration give the new opportunities for connecting the information from different imaging techniques. The presented work aims at the correlative process for X-ray computed tomography (XCT). The required quality of XCT measurement is discussed. The new sample preparation and scanning process shows the possibility of sufficient sample surface representation from XCT images. The project goal is to find the methodology that spread the 2D elemental mapping across 3D CT images.
