Original Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe the problem of determining measurement uncertainties in the temperature calibration, especially the calibration of the platinum resistance thermometer. Two calibration methods can be used – comparison calibration method or calibration in defined temperature points in the appropriate temperature scale. This paper describes a first calibration method that is based on comparing the value from a calibrated temperature sensor to a temperature value measured by a reference temperature sensor (standard). The uncertainty budget for platinum resistance thermometer and the calibration system is given here.
