Original Abstract

This paper discusses minimally invasive ablation method for undesired tissue removal called irreversible electroporation. Stress is put on a description of electrical bases of the electroporation process. The main focus of this article is impedance measurement prior to design and development of electroporation devices as well as to modeling and simulation of the process. It is important to know the electric field distribution to be able to predict the treatment outcome. Both low-voltage and high-voltage methods were used for the impedance analysis of porcine muscular tissue. Measurements proved theoretical assumptions and provided important data for further research.
