Original Abstract

Building structures are affected by many contrary impacts within their lifetime, i.e. weather, human, animal, vegetable, fungal and environmental interventions, natural and non-natural disasters. Timely and appropriate maintenance or other remedial measures could be selected using up-to date diagnostics or monitoring methods. One of the big issues of the building sustainability can be found in durability or damage of a reinforcement of concrete structures. The paper demonstrates an experimental study of novel method for detecting corrosion of inaccessible rebars placed inside of reinforced concrete structures.
