Original Abstract

In the letter, an electromagnetic equivalent of a composite sheet is synthesized by a multi-objective optimization of a band-stop filter. An anisotropic uniplanar bandgap (UBG) structure of the filter simulates fibers and a resin in the composition of the sheet. A non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA–II) and a generalized differential evolution (GDE3) are applied to minimize three objective functions defining the frequency response of the structure. Thanks to the multi-objective approach, a set of non-dominated solutions is obtained instead of a single solution provided by conventional approaches.
