English abstract

Peritoneal dialysis is a therapeutical method used for removing harmful metabolites from an organism of a patient with irreversible renal failure. In this method the so-called peritoneal solution is applied repeatedly into the abdominal cavity (peritoneum). Besides a number of advantages the main disadvantage of this method is possible bringing an infectious contamination that is accompanied with the presence of blood elements in the discharged peritoneal solution. Early identification an infection is of principal importance for subsequent therapeutical strategy. The contribution describes the beginning of research into the utilization of LDA for finding out the number of blood elements in discharged peritoneal solution.
