Original Abstract

This work deals with 2D wavelet transform and its implementation thanks to lifting scheme on a FPGA in the VHDL language. Final circuit will be used for compression of a video PAL signal and its wireless transmission. The project consists of the two main parts, implementation of the forward wavelet transform and the inverse wavelet transform.
