Original Abstract

The article deals with sound insulation properties of YTONG Ekonom floor structures. In the first part of the article, valid legislation requirements for this particular construction types are summarized. The main part of the article depicts experiments conducted by the Acoustic Laboratory of the Brno University of Technology in cooperation with Xella CZ, s.r.o. company. In these particular experiments, the YTONG Ekonom 200 mm thick floor structures were measured at the detached house construction site. Onto these structures, three different flooring compositions were applied: Mineral wool insulation and Knauf gypsum boards, recycled textile insulation and Knauf gypsum boards and the last was Dupizol insulation and concrete floor screed.
