Tento článek se zabývá možností využití vodíkového cyklu pro akumulaci elektrické energie získané přeměnou obnovitelné Sluneční energie pomocí fotovoltaických článků. Popisuje základní prvky vodíkového cyklu, jejich konstrukci a funkci. Dále se zabývá výhodami oproti klasickému způsobu akumulace pomoci elektrických akumulátorů a to zejména z hlediska účinnosti a množství akumulované energie.
