Original Abstract

The wavelet transformation is the modern method for signal processing in many technical branches. One of them is the removal of noise from a useful signal. This article is focused on removing noise from the signal scanned in a nuclear magnetic resonance tomograph. The method of sub-band thresholding utilizing wavelet transformation is analysed. This method is applied in dual filtering of Free Induction Decay (FID) signal and Instantaneous Frequency (IF) signal. Marked noise suppression is reached, a higher quality of instantaneous frequency signal is obtained and so the magnetic field in tomograph can be measured to a greater accuracy.
