Original Abstract

Low pressure sewer systems (LPSS) have been used much less time than conventional gravity and therefore there is less experience with their design and operation. Current knowledge about the pressure sewerage system is gradually summarized and verified, e.g. its detailed overview is described in reports of research project of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic titled "Smart pressure sewerage systems". The aim of this project is to achieve an optimized operation, proper and faultless functioning of pressure sewerage systems. This goal will be achieved by the development and practical implementation of several tools. One of them is the intelligent control unit for controlling the function of individual pumps. Prior to practical use in a pressure sewer system is necessary to test reliability of this unit with special test device. This paper presents design of such test unit which is suitable for long-term testing of practical use. Presented test unit can record various operating parameters and evaluate the status of the plant.
