sigbin: an R/Bioconductor package for signal-based DNA sequence binning

Abstract

The main functionality of this package is to bin DNA sequences. The sequences are first converted into a phase signal and then three Hjorth parameters are computed - activity, mobility and complexity. The final hierarchical binning is build upon these indicators of statistical properties.
