Original Abstract

In this article were analyzed 50 different sized power plants. It consisted of more than twenty thousand photovoltaic panels with a total installed capacity of 5144 kW. It was chosen a measurement method, by which we can view the distribution of surface temperatures in the solar module. Defect analysis method is based on detecting heat loss generated by the consumption of electricity produced by photovoltaic cells, which generate less current than other cells in module and therefore doesn’t participate in the production of energy, but the dissipating energy. This reduction in current may be caused by a defect in the cell or partial shading of the cell surface. The analysis was carried out over a period of one year under various conditions and was carried out by four different service companies.
