Original Abstract

The concrete permeability for gases and liquids depends, in the first place. on the capillary pore size, shape and interfacing. Addition of fine fly ash results in a charge of the concrete structure conditions. These changes are reflected in the permeance rate of pressure water through the concrete surface layer. These changes are related to the variations in the pore size and distribution in the concrete layer structure under test.
