Original Abstract

Aeroelasticity is the term used to denote the field of study concerned with the interaction between the deformation of an elastic structure in an air stream and the resulting aerodynamic force. The interdisciplinary nature of the field can be illustrated as interaction of the three disciplines of aerodynamics, dynamics, and elasticity. Computational Fluid Dynamics model with Fluid-Structure interaction ability was used. For verifying the numerical model, the experimental visualization of the stream behind a single rigid cylinder was used. To solve CFD and FSI, ANSYS program system was used.
