Original Abstract

In this paper the temperature effects on rail-bridge iteraction during four seasons is studied using a reinforced concrete L110 bridge in Austria. Nonlinear model of the whole system was developed for balasted and non-ballasted track. Special attention was paid to calibration of rail-bridge iteraction and boundary conditions using measured data and code specifications. The aim of this studywas to analyze admissible stress in rails due to iteraction with bridge caused by temperature loading according to in situ measurement as well as to perform prediction for possible future situations.
