Original Abstract

This paper deals with numerical analysis of lightning stroke effects on aircraft. Computations are implemented using two different numerical methods (FIT, MoM). Attention is turned to a simple model of a composite nose part of the airplane EV-55. The analysis of the model it-self is performed for two fundamentally different basic conceptions of a possible protection against direct effects of lightning.
