Original Abstract

QuadraSil TA (registered trademark of Johnson Matthey Finland Oy) is in terms of chemical composition solid sorbent based on modified silicic acid, which is highly selective for the sorption of selected metal ions. There are several modifications QuadraSil sorbent according bonded functional groups. Triethanolamine (TA) is a functional group selectively sorbing ions of metals Au, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru, V, Zn and Pb. For this reason, the sorbent was selected for determination of palladium in environmental samples.
