Original Abstract
This paper is concerned with the situation of women in the Czech Republic including their employment rates, pays, and degrees of entrepreneurial involvement. It proves that pay differences between men and women are far from being equal here while recognizing the increasing number of female entrepreneurs. Even if the Czech government still rejects the introduction of a quota instrument for the presence of women on the boards of state-owned enterprises, the EU pressure, particularly the German opinion trend, will increasingly influence the Czech Republic in this respect.
