Original Abstract

The HRV descriptor complex correlation measure was evaluated on tachograms from fifteen New Zealand White rabbit isolated hearts with aim to recognize ischemia-based disruption of heart rhythm. Hearts were perfused on Langendorff apparatus with Krebs-Henseleit solution (1.25 mM Ca2+, 37°C, 85 mmH) and their electrograms were recorded (sampling rate 2 kHz, 16-bit AD converter) by three orthogonal leads positioned around the heart. The experiment consisted from seven consecutive phases, each 10 minutes long: control, 1st ischemia, 1st reperfusion, 2nd ischemia, 2nd reperfusion, 3rd ischemia, 3rd reperfusion.
