Original Abstract

In this work we used isothermal titration calorimetry to characterize intermolecular interactions between metals and humic acid. It can reliably determine the degree of affinity reactions. The method of isothermal titration calorimetry has been optimized for use in the study of the reactivity of humic acids, optimalization was the most applicable to humic acid sols. Because we don´t know how interactions proceed, we are using models for better understanding. As models for studying the binding sites of humic acids were chosen simple organic compounds – pyrocatechol, phenol, salicylic acid, benzoic acid, phtalic acid.
