Original Abstract

This work is concerned with testing three basic methods used for audio signal watermarking. It deals with the phase coding method, the echo coding method and the methods exploiting the technique of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). The tests were focused on determining the perceptual quality of watermarks, computational complexity of methods for embedding and extracting watermarks, and watermark robustness with respect to attacks aimed at removing the watermark from watermarked data. These tests were applied to 5 recordings of different music styles.
