Original Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to prepare and characterize biocompatible micelles. In our study, hyaluronan was chosen as suitable partner for cationic micelles. In our study, these interactions has been studied by turbidimetry and dynamic light scattering method and the effects of concentration of both interacting partners and of the hyaluronan molecular weight were investigated. Results of turbidimetry revealed that aggregates formation (turbidity increasing) depends on hyaluronan concentration while surfactant concentration (above critical micelle concentration) affects interaction insignificantly. Dynamic light scattering experiments indicate that hyaluronan molecular weight has insignificant effect on compensation of charges of hyaluronan and surfactant in the system.
