Original Abstract

This Article deals with traffic light management in cities. Our solution is based on a sensor network, which should provide enough information for dynamic methods. This solution is about the implementation of genetic algorithms into the system of traffic light control systems to make it more efficient. The article provides a simulation tool for dynamic and static traffic light management simulation, based on multi-agent system and discrete event simulation algorithms. The results of the simulation, provided in this article, should prove the benefits of our dynamic solution for city traffic, which has an indisputable impact on the living standard of citizens in cities.

Czech abstract

Tento článek se zabývá řízením dopravy ve městech. Naše řešení je založeno na senzorické sítí, která poskytuje dostatek informací pro dynamické řešení ovládání. Toto řešení je založeno na implementaci genetického algoritmu v systémech řízení křižovatek pomocí semaforů, což by mělo zajistit větší efektivitu řízení. Článek poskytuje simulační nástroj pro dynamické a statické řešení pro ovládání semaforů, založené na multi-agentním systému a simulaci diskrétních událostí. Výsledky v tomto článku by prokazují výhody dynamického řešení pro městskou dopravu, která má nemalý vliv na životní standard občanů.

English abstract

This Article deals with traffic light management in cities. Our solution is based on a sensor network, which should provide enough information for dynamic methods.
