Original Abstract

Nanostructured gold surfaces have been synthesized by utilizing anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) templates in combination with electrochemical galvanic deposition of gold ions. Topography and structure of AAO templates and gold nanowires were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Self assembled monolayer of 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) has been achieved via two different approaches. The terminal groups of self-assembled monolayer have been activated by substances EDC and NHS. The avidin – biotin interaction on MUA layer deposited on gold nanostructured surface was observed by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
