Paper deals with the ultracapacitor utilization in the electric vehicle. Ultracapacitors can improve the radius of action, one of the most important parameters, of the electric vehicle. Test vehicle, ultracapacitor's voltage and capacity dimensioning is described. Inverter principle is introduced including control and support circuitry.
