Original Abstract

First results of research on artificial cochlea based on mechanical filter bank which could be produced by MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technologies and power supplied by energy harvesting systems are presented. Basic configuration of the artificial cochlea proposed by our team is described first. The configuration of mechanoelectrical transducers (polycrystalline diffused piezoresistors) proposed for the first experiment is presented then. Finally eigenfrequencies of resonant membranes calculated by finite element systems Ansys and CoventorWare are presented as well.
