Original Abstract

The article presents a topometrical optimization of the critical semi-shell wing structure of the aircraft in the CS-23 Commuter category. The modern FE optimization methods were used and significant weight savings were achieved mainly on the milled integral lower wing panel. A FE model validation with the analytical software and a selection of limits and requirements for an optimization are described in this article. Also a final stress analysis and a complex load capacity analysis are proved for designed structure modifications with an optimal stress distribution.
