Original Abstract

The paper presents the metering current transformer modeling method. The method considers the disturbance effects that are transmitted to the supplying electrical system. There are known physical effects that cause the disturbances. Some of them are: partial discharges in dielectrics (air in the epoxy etc.), displacement currents on the boundary of the dielectrics, currents in the semiconductor materials used during construction. These effects and others are in the technical practice commonly called “partial discharges interferences”. The problem of disturbance effects was described by means of finite element method and the same method was used for analysis. The results of the analysis are used for suitable technological modification of the transformer construction. It is possible to identify the surface density of the charge in the individual parts of the model.
