Original Abstract

This paper deals with the measurement of the optical signals generated by the energetic materials during their detonation. The optical signal is sensed using a set of optical fibers positioned at different places along the measured material. The paper presents the analysis and first steps of design of the optical-electrical converters. The measured results for selected materials are finally presented together with the analyzed velocity of detonation of selected material and the comparison of results with the observations from a high-speed camera.
