Original Abstract

The main motivation of this paper is to provide a detailed analysis of an important aspect in wireless sensor networks (WSN) - the node's failure. We focus on three scenarios of the node failures and their effect on the average consensus algorithm implemented on a WSN. Gained results show a clear connection between the network connectivity and the effect of the node's failure. The paper contains also recommendations how to deal with or at least reduce the effect of the node's failure.
