Original Abstract

Article describes history and development of silica materials production in Czech Republic over the last 30 years. Capacities, individual quality brands and technological changes in production of this specific material are depicted. Current production conditions and material applications are summarized. Last chapter of the article is focused on development of new kinds of silica material and their possible utilization by customers. Main focus is on application in the area of glass production.
