Original Abstract

Experimental analysis of acoustic emission response is based on the processing of a stochastic process realization. The results of this processing procedure are statistical characteristics, such as, probability density, distribution function, root-mean-square deviation, correlation function and spectral density. Our acoustic emission studies are focused mainly on the acoustic emission impulse counting rate and spectral density. The present paper deals with a digital method of determining the spectral density.
