Original Abstract

The paper is focused on fully probabilistic assessment of old reinforced concrete arch bridge. As many uncertainties are involved the approach is the probabilistic one, enabling the reliability-based prognosis of service life. An advanced modeling is needed, where aspects of nonlinear behavior of concrete and degradation modeling are combined with efficient reliability techniques to calculate reliability in time. The aim is to provide reliability measures - reliability index and/or failure probability values in time. Small-sample Monte Carlo type statistical simulation technique Latin Hypercube Sampling is applied to model all uncertainties involved, including statistical correlation.
