Original Abstract

The acoustic field radiation from an impulsive source located in a discretely layered and laterally bounded fluid is investigated with the aid of the generalized-ray theory. The main ingredient of the presented approach is the Cagniard-DeHoop technique in combination with the method of images that provide exact space-time expressions for the activated acoustic wavefield components. Illustrative numerical examples are presented.
