Original Abstract

The whole genome sequencing became standard part of nucleic acids' research due to the development of next-generation sequencing platforms. However, an algorithmic processing of long sequences is computationally demanding. We present a new method for lossy compression of DNA in a form of cumulative phase signals. This compression is convenient for comparison of various sequences in short time.

Sekvenování celých genomů se stalo standartní součástí výzkumu nukleových kyselin díky sekvenačních technologiím nové generace. Bohužel zpracování celogenomových sekvencí je výpočetne náročné. Práce prezentuje novou metodu pro ztrátovou kompresi DNA kumulované fáze. Je vhodná ke klasifikaci dlouhých sekvencí v krátkém čase.
