On the project

Li-Ion batteries are one of the key technologies today which are supposed to reduce the harmful impact of humans on the environment. This work will improve the possibilites of the analysis of battery internal structure from cell level down to microstructure of active particles in electrodes usin X-ray micro-computed tomography (microCT). MicroCT can advantageously support development of batteries aiming towards better performance, higher energy density and a higher lifetime.
