On the project

Surface Acoustic Wave generated phonon and strain, offering the phonon-electron, phonon-phonon, phonon-photon interactions, which influence the material from its natural state to perturbed to get tailored. The controlled disorder is a challenging task to achieve on 2D layered TMDC semiconductor materials to understand the subtle changes. The SAW driven significant modulation in the optical and electrical bandgap of MoS2 and WSe2 material promise to harness the 2D materials with SAW resonator to achieve Opto-electro-mechanical coupling. Systematic study on SAWR mediated TMDC will study here.
