Fyzikálně-chemické procesy představují jeden z nejperspektivnějších směrů současného výzkumu. Jsou zde zahrnuty okruhy biopolymerní, plazmochemické i materiálového zaměření. Projekt propojuje jednotlivá témata DSP tak, aby bylo možné porovnávat různé přístupy a analytické techniky pro dosažení maximální účinnosti procesů i poznání jejich základních mechanismů. Z projektu bude podporována zejména aktivní účast studentů na mezinárodních konferencích a jejich mimořádná stipendia, částečně i materiální vybavení.
