Při návrhu mechatronických systémů v technické praxi je kladen důraz na zkrácení doby mezi návrhem systému a jeho realizací, popřípadě mezi návrhem a uvedením výrobku na trh. Při návrhu mechatronických systémů se dá s úspěchem využít metody Model Based Design pro rychlý a efektivní návrh dynamického systému.
