MRI is a constantly developing region of medicine, which is suitable for the study of soft tissues. The current methodologies for obtaining images weighted by relaxation times give only an idea of the distribution of soft tissues. Considerable attention is being devoted to the research into methods, which will enable distinguishing between individual types of nidus. This leads to perfusion imaging, based on dynamic imaging of the tissue of interest. The project will be concerned to the developing of methods for analysis of MR images data obtained by perfusion and diffusion measurements. The next will be: establishing of arterial input function, analysis of perfusion parameters, 3D analysis of diffusion tensor, model for analysis of multi-parameters MR images forming, unification of images scanned by different techniques, segmentation of tumour with calculating its volume, separate segmentation of the areas of the tumour, design of technique for determination of mask of tumour parts. The results will be compared to conclusions of medical diagnosis of group of patients.

MR je rozvíjející se oblastí vhodnou pro studium měkkých tkání a nástrojem při rozhodování o formě léčby pacienta. Metodiky pro pořizování obrazů váhovaných relaxačními časy poskytují představu pouze o rozložení tkání. Nyní je pozornost věnována výzkumu metod snímání obrazů umožňujících rozlišení jednotlivých typů nádorových ložisek. To vede k dynamickému zobrazení tkáně pomocí kontrastních látek a rozvoji analýzy dat pro získání perfuzních parametrů. Projekt bude zaměřen na výzkum metod analýzy obrazových dat získaných MR perfuzním a difuzním měřením. Významnými částmi bude stanovení arteriální vstupní funkce, analýza perfuzních parametrů, 3D analýza difúzního tenzoru, vytvoření modelu pro analýzu víceparametrových MR obrazů. Součástí bude sjednocení geometrie obrazů snímaných různými technikami, segmentace tumoru s výpočtem jeho objemu, separátní segmentace oblastí nádoru, návrh techniky pro stanovení masky částí tumoru. Výsledky výzkumu budou porovnány se závěry lékařské diagnózy a verifikovány na souboru zdravých pacientů s cílem rozlišit metastázy od primárního mozkového tumoru.
