Smyslem projektu bylo zdokumentovat původní tibetskou architekturu v Ladakhu v severní Indii a pokusit se o záchranu výjimečných historických budov a uchování historického odkazu této jedinečné kultury pro další generace. Ladakh je starobylé tibetské království, které se stalo součástí indického Kašmíru teprve v polovině 19.století. Práce brněnského týmu probíhala pod záštitou Tibet Heritage Fund (THF - fond na záchranu tibetského dědictví), spočívala v zaměřování, dokumentaci a návrzích úprav a rekonstrukcí významných budov v hlavním městě Ladakhu Leh.

The sense of this project was document the original architecture in Tibet-Ladakh (Northern India) and attempt the rescue of exceptional historical buildings and the conservation of historical heritage of this unique culture for next generations. Ladakh is an old Tibetian kingdom which became part of Indic Kashmir not until the half of 19th century. The work of the team from Brno taked place under the auspices of Tibet Heritage Fund (THF), consisted in metering, documentation and project of adaptations and reconstructions of important buildings in Leh - the capital of Ladakh.
