In her paper, the author analyzes the connection between the life cycle of products and services and life cycle management using tools that help reduce negative impacts of business activities on the environment, such as the quantitative and qualitative tools. From the holistic point of view, this analysis in fact encompasses the entire life cycle of products and services. Every business activity impacts the social, economic or environmental levels in one way or another. Life Cycle Management (LCM) has been developed as an integrated concept for managing the total life cycle of products and services towards more sustainable consumption and production patterns. LCM stems from changed conditions in the business environment, besides a traditional focus on performance and departments, it is being extended to include the acquisition of information on clients, particularly in connection with their requirements on products and services, responses to market situations, changing technologies, and changes in the quality of products and services. It follows from both theoretical and empirical findings in the field of life cycle investigations that people in different positions define the term "life cycle" differently from the point of view of marketing, of the manufacturer, customer, or the society. In her paper, the author set out to define the life cycle of products and services, including the environmental approach, with the use of quantitative tools ( life cycle assessment, eco-efficiency, ecological footprint, product stewardship, target costing, life cycle costing ). In conclusion, it should be important for every company to implement the life-cycle thinking (LCT), which, in combination with LCM is a relatively new approach that brings together different elements of practices that have been used in companies around the world for decades.
