V současnosti je pórobetón velmi progresivním stavebním materiálem, hlavně pro svoje vynikající tepelněizolační schopnosti a pro příznivý poměr mezi mechanickými pevnostmi a objemovou hmotností. Pórobetón má taky další neocenitelné vlastnosti jako např. výbornou opracovatelnost, ale co najvíce oceňují nejen projektanti, ale také realizační firmy je kompletnost jednotlivých stavebních prvků, které zaručují vysokou produktivitu při práci s pórobetónovými systémi. Najznámnější a najvíce používané jsou stavební systémy HEBEL a YTONG. Také ekonomický aspekt výhod není zanedbatelný.

In the present time the cellular concrete is a very progressive building material, particularly for the outstanding thermal-insulation properties and for the favourable relation between mechanical strength and volume mass. The cellular concrete has other invaluable properties, for instance excellent workability and what not only the designers but the realization companies too appreciate mostly, is the entirety of individual building elements, which give the guarantee of a high productivity during the work with cellular concrete systems. The most known and most used are the building systems HEBEL and YTONG. Neither the economic aspect of advantages can be neglected.
