Originální abstrakt

This contribution presents a novel method for speckle reduction and edges enhancement of an ultrasound images in a radiofrequency (RF) domain. The algorithm is based on a wavelet transform and an empirical Wiener filtration in wavelet domain. The resulted images show better contrast and low level of speckle noise and therefore are more suitable for segmentation or assessment by human experts.
