Device for mechanical testing of functional segments of human body

Czech group of scientists from University of Technology Brno has developed invention relates to a device for mechanical testing of functional segments of human body, while the device comprises fastening elements of the tested functional segment of human body and a driving device. Unprecedented device does enable a targeted mechanical acting on each section of the tested functional segments of human body, e.g. during testing of spinal systems with several vertebras.

Method of preparation of thermodegradable polyuretane foams for automotive and furniture industries

The modification of mixture composition of polyurethane foam applicable in furniture industry is considered. A novel polyurethane foam contains a thermolabile compound, that enables a thermal degradation of the foam at already approx. 180 °C, which is over 60°C lower temperature, than that of a commercial foam degradation. Moreover, the thermal degradation of novel polyurethane foam at lower temperature can be controlled and newly formed low-molecular products can be dissolved and eventually recycled at certain stage of thermal degradation.

Apparatus for high-strength alpha-gypsum production using non-pressure method

A Czech university engineers developed an apparatus for high-strength alpha-gypsum production using non-pressure method. At present non-pressure method is used just for production of beta-gypsum that has not such quality mechanical properties. This developed method provides production of high-strength alpha gypsum using non-pressure constructional simple apparatus. Partners interested in seeking advantages from this alpha gypsum production apparatus are sought.

Automatic generation of new technical patentable inventions in various branches of technology

Brno University of Technology designed a sophisticated method of applying Evolutionary algorithms and Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP) to engineering design. This method is suitable for various applications in many branches of technology. The method can be especially used with high effect for design or optimization of digital or analog integrated circuits, digital or analog filters and other electronics components. The method can be used also in civil engineering. An idea of the mentioned method is to apply evolutionary algorithms into design (or optimization) process. Results are very often surprisingly good in comparison to traditionally designed parts.

Design and Building a Mini-Sumo Robot

Researchers from Brno Univerzity of Technology have developed a new construction of a Mini-Sumo Robot. In the comparison to the common such robots this solution has specific design with artificial intelligence, giving the robot competitive advantage in combat. What is left for the competitor is to write a clever algorithm for the robot to win the fight. The Mini-Sumo Robot is suitable for companies focused on business at Mini-sumo competition equipments. A double-wall system with heat accumulation core for passive cooling of residential premises

Researchers from Czech university developed a new double-wall system with heat accumulation core for passive cooling of residential premises. The core is based on phase change materials that can be activated (cooled) by air-conditioning unit with the possibility of the inlet air temperature modification. Partners for manufacturing of the equipment and licence agreement are sought. Available for demonstration.

The advantage of the system is that it allows a recovery of the heat storage medium at the night by separated air ventilation circuit. The system allows the absorption of thermal energy in the daytime hours and the discharging of accumulated energy during the night. The system is cost- and space-saving and can be attached directly to the perimeter wall.
