Introduction

Our mission is dissemination of innovations and knowledge transfer between Brno University of Technology (BUT) and the Industry. We aim to enhance prestige of the University, socioeconomic development of the South Moravian region and to support financial sustainability of BUT Excellence centers and Regional R&D centers.

Technology Transfer Office (TTO) carries out this mission in four main areas:

• technology transfer management - TTO (in close cooperation with the inventors) is responsible for commecialisation of BUT R&D projects results and for implementation of internal directives and guides related to technology transfer

• supporting innovatin culture and entrepreneurship at BUT - critical point for succesful identification and commercialisation of intellectual property created in BUT R&D projects
  

• partnering with the Industry, other technology transfer specialists and networks for knowledge transfer support
  

• supporting creation of innovative spin-off companies and student start-up companies
